Arkana dermarooler Face

Arkana

Your practitioner will use a Arkana DermarollerTM medical device to produce thousands of micro medical needle-columns in the skin. Each column will penetrate into the dermis of the skin and will be approximately 0.1mm in width. The column will close rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly – often in the same day.

Arkana Dermaroller™

Your practitioner will use a Arkana Dermaroller™ medical device to produce thousands of micro-medical needle-columns in the skin. Each column will penetrate into the dermis of the skin and will be approximately 0.1mm in width. The column will close rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly – often in the same day.

After a Arkana  Dermaroller™ Therapy™ procedure your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement.

Mechanism of action The mechanism of action of microneedling is the controlled mechanical stimulation of the wound healing response with rapid closure of the micro-incisions. The wound healing response is the result of mechanical stimulation of the dermis, which leads to higher concentrations of platelet growth factors and enhanced fibroblast infiltration. As the wound closes quickly, the need for fibrosis is minimised and the safety profile enhanced. In particular, microneedling leads to the gene expression of a number growth factors, collagen type I and glycosaminoglycan (GAG). The treatment leads to an up-regulation of transforming growth factor (TGF)-b1 and TGF-b2 at 2 and 4 weeks after the treatment, followed by a strong down-regulation at 8 weeks post-treatment. This triggers the natural healing process through the up-regulation of TGF-b35; up-regulation of collagen I, GAG, and growth factors6; and up-regulation of positive genes important for the epidermal–dermal junction7. This leads to normally-woven collagen and scarless healing.

What is Collagen Induction Therapy? (CIT)

Arkana Dermarollers® contain fine surgical needles precisely engineered to roll over the treatment area. This creates specific “micro-wounds” to induce CIT.

Then CIT triggers the body’s natural healing process to create firmer, plumper, youthful skin with a healthy glow. CIT by stimulates the two vital processes needed to create new, healthy skin tissue: 1-   Collagenesis – Produces new collagen and elastin

•   Angiogenesis – Stimulates new capillary growth for better blood    supply to the skin.2-

How ArkanaDermarollers® can help you:

Reduces scars (e.g.: acne, burn scars, stretch marks)

•  Evens skin pigmentation

•  Erases fine lines

•  Fades deep wrinkles

•  Tightens sagging skin

Medical Dermaroller® increases new collagen & elastin fibers by 1000%

The biopsies show new collagen and elastin fibers (stained purple) increased 1000% after a Medical Dermaroller® treatment.
